What happened to the written word?

We love social stationery. We love to design social stationery, we love to receive and send social stationery. We wish we lived in America, who also love to send and receive social stationery.

With an era of texting, tweeting and social networking; we are beginning to lose the style, the etiquette and the smiles that social stationery can bring.

We've decided to write this blog and bring you some of the best and the worst from all around the world. From thank you notes to wedding stationery; from post-its to love letters - let's bring back the written word in its entirety and not just in 140 characters!

When did you last take a new sheet of notepaper from your drawer, pick up your fountain pen and write with a flourish; thanking grandma for her kind birthday gift. As a child, it always seemed a chore but once I had that sheet in front of me, I wanted to write in my best handwriting; sealing the envelope with a smile, knowing that grandma would smile when she saw it.

We all love to receive a letter or a thank you in the post - and I would be very impressed if I received a penned note on one of these beautiful letterpress notelets.

This weekend, it's my aim to design my own social stationery totally aside from the business!
